JSC “Ruslesprom” is a well-known Russian timber manufacturing private company, which story dates back to 1988. The founder of the company is Sergey Kovalevich.
Business politics of the company includes transformation from export of saw logs to manufacture and export of further processed wood products.
Stages of the company’s development
| 1988 — | The multi-profile association “Avangard” was established, specializing in harvesting, timber processing and wood chemical industry. |
| 1998 — | “Avangard” was transformed into a large and privately owned joint-stock company “Ruslesprom-Trading”. |
| 2001 — | The saw mill, equipped with high-tech Italian machineries of “ARTIGLIO”, “STORTI” and others, was put into operation. The production capacity of equipment is 72 000 m³ of sawn goods per annum. |
| 2002 — | The second line of the mill was launched and equipped with the multipurpose German machinery by “MICHAEL WEINIG AG”, which allows the production of wide range of further processed wood products (planed sawn goods used for housing in Japan and moldings). The production capacity is 60 000 m³ of finished products per year. |
| 2002 — | The company won the leasehold of a block of forest fund with the annual logging allowance of 176.3 cubic meters. Currently there are more than 78 km of built forest roads; logging and transporting from harvesting area are organized. All this allows providing the mill with 100 % of its own raw materials for the production. |
| 2001, 2003, 2005 — | European drying kilns of brands “MÜHLBÖCK” and “NARDI” were mounted and put into operation. |
| December, 2005 — | JSC “Ruslesprom-Trading” was renamed as JSC “Ruslesprom”. |
| 2005 — | The managing director of the company, Sergey Kovalevich, became a laureate of the National Award of Public Recognition “Russian Citizen of the Year” for the year 2005, in the nomination “Regional Leader, Siberian Federal District” for the significant contribution to consolidation of economic potential and investment attractiveness of the region. The company “Ruslesprom” was awarded the silver medal “National endowment” by the charitable foundation “Patrons of the Century”. In 2006 Sergey Kovalevich was awarded with a Silver Medal “Patrons of Art” for the righteous work and deeds for the benefit of the country. |
The further development of the company is connected to the expansion of operating production with the purpose of utilization of available capacities for the manufacture of finished products and creation of a new kind of production — manufacture of OSB. At this moment, OSB has not been produced in Russia and the Asian-Pacific Region countries.

Angara pine and larch
Quality of Angara pine and Siberian larch is rated as one of the best in the world. Siberian timber outperforms Finnish and American ones. JSC “Ruslesprom” manufactures solid and finger-joint products of export quality from coniferous wood: Angara pine and Siberian larch.
Forest raw base
JSC “Ruslesprom” has its own logs supplies base with a felling area of 176.3 thousand of cubic meters (Krasnoyarsk region). In 2002 the company won leasehold of a block of forest fund for 49 years on the forest auction binding itself on reforestation measures. Use of own raw material (logs) guarantees to customers “cleanliness” of saw-timbers.
